Microsoft FrontPage
What is FrontPage? What Does it Do?
FrontPage is a visual editor program made by Microsoft.
FrontPage uses graphics to create Web pages rather than using HTML
tags, and allows you to instantly see how any changes you make will
affect the Web page.
For complete information regarding the program, please visit the
Microsoft FrontPage
web site.
Please note that publishing your site
with FrontPage will not work until your domain name is pointing to the
EsoSoft nameservers. If you need to
publish your web site to the EsoSoft server before changing your
domain's nameserver information, please contact our Service & Support
Team so that arrangements can be made. Please see the contact
information at the bottom of this page.
How to Use FrontPage
If you use
FrontPage we highly recommend that you use only FrontPage to
publish your files to your web site. With just a few mouse-clicks,
FrontPage makes it easy to publish your web files. Please use the
following steps to publish your site with the FrontPage program:
- Connect to the Internet.
- Open Microsoft FrontPage
- Open your local web (which you have designed on you
computer)
- Go to File -> Publish Web
- You should see a window which asks where you would like to
publish your FrontPage Web.
Type your Web Site's URL into the text field, for example:
http://www.your-domain.com/
- Enter your username and password when prompted.
- FrontPage will then start uploading everything to your web
site hosted by EsoSoft. This can take a few minutes depending on
the size of your web site. Watch the status window which will show
the progress of the publishing. When the window "Web site
published successfully" pops up, FrontPage has finished.
Be sure to
replace anything in Red Bold with
your actual account information.
